Who are we?

EKOBÛCHES is a Quebec-based company founded by two colleagues and friends, both with several years of experience in construction/renovation and stair design. Aware of the rising market demand and prices, they decided to create an online platform allowing anyone, experienced or not, to purchase eco-friendly firewood logs. Superior quality , and all in the greatest simplicity.

1. Purchasing or Reclaiming Raw Materials: This step may seem trivial, but it all begins with a group of passionate and knowledgeable buyers. Without the top-quality raw materials (only hardwood) that our buyers source, we could not guarantee consistent, high-performance product quality. Reclaiming our own raw materials is also crucial to the smooth operation of the business. Each week, we produce between 7 and 10 tons of raw materials.

2. Separation of the raw material: When the wood arrives at the factory, the first step is to separate the sawdust at the factory! We may receive wood in flakes that are too large to put in the logs, so it is important to separate it well in order to avoid the logs crumbling as much as possible.

3. Feeding raw materials to the production machine: This step is of great importance in the production of our logs. Our automated conveyor system ensures that the storage silo is always at the correct level so that there are no stoppages on the production line!

4. Log production: Once the raw material is delivered to the machine that produces the logs, the sawdust is compressed at very high heat and produces approximately 1 ton of logs per hour.

5. Packaging and Labeling: This step is the most important in our production chain. Production rules must be strictly followed. Each log must have a uniform shape and appearance to ensure proper packaging. All our logs are wrapped in a PVC film, which prevents water from seeping in and damaging the product. To ensure the product is sold through your preferred retailers, labeling is done last to comply with industry standards.

6. Finishing, inspection, and shipping: During this stage, two people are present to inspect the logs and detect any defects. If a defect is found, the log will be downgraded and reused for the next day's production.

After all these design and inspection stages, the logs are inspected one last time. If they meet all our quality criteria, they will be placed on a pallet and sent to their final destination.
